Editorial policy
Visa and immigration rules affect where people live and how much they pay. This page explains how we keep our information accurate and honest.
Sources and the two-source rule
We prefer official sources such as Thai embassies, the Board of Investment and government pages. When an official page cannot be read we rely on law firms and established news outlets and say so. We aim to confirm every rule in at least two independent sources. Where we could not, the page says so and shows the status label below.
Status labels
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Verified | Two or more sources agree. |
| Single source | Only one source found. |
| Sources differ | Sources disagree; the page says how. |
Dates and corrections
Each page shows when facts were last checked and when it was last updated. We do not change dates without re-checking. Corrections are made as soon as we verify them, and we note material changes on the rule-change log.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help research and draft. We aim to check each page against its linked sources before publication. AI does not replace the source: if a figure has no source link, treat it as unverified and tell us.
Independence
We have no affiliate links and receive no commission from insurers, banks, accountants or visa programmes mentioned on these pages. If that changes we will say so on the page.
Not legal advice
Content is general information. Rules change and offices apply them differently. For your own case ask the Immigration Bureau, the relevant embassy or a licensed Thai lawyer.
